Education Saving Account Program

About the ESA Program

In the spring of 2019, the Tennessee General Assembly passed and signed Public Chapter 506. This law creates the Tennessee Education Savings Account (ESA) program. The ESA program allows eligible students who are zoned to attend

  • Shelby County district school

  • Metro Nashville public school

  • Hamilton County School

  • or a school that was in the Achievement School District (ASD)

to use state and local money toward education expenses, including tuition and/or fees at approved private schools.

Annoor Academy has been approved to participate in the Tennessee Education Saving Account (ESA). The state will pay the tuition of 35 students who enroll in Annoor Academy in the 2024-2025 school year.

  3. Is a member of a household with an annual income for the previous year that does not exceed twice the federal income eligibility guidelines for free lunch; and

    • The student is eligible for the first time to enroll in a Tennessee school;

    • The student received an education savings account in the previous school year;
